Introducing: Nails at Halo!

Here at Halo we have some rather new and exciting developments happening in the salon, we are thrilled to announce our team of professionals has grown again, and we now have Carly on board team Halo offering all things nails from Thursday through until Saturday.
Carly has taken part in specialist training with Jessica nails and is now in the salon show casing her talent and nail flare on everyone, clients of the salon or not. Carly offers three different forms of nails, the classic Phenom nail polish, the revolutionary Jessica gel nails and of course, acrylics for those who crave a little extra length on their nails or prefer a more dramatic nail. But I’ll save Acrylics for an article of their own to stop confusion.
Jessica is a vegan friendly and cruelty free company, in fact vegan friendly and cruelty free is one of the top company values that it boasts of. Jessica is also a top favorite due to its lack of harmful chemicals, Jessica contains NO strong odors which can often affect respiratory systems hence why non-standard nail bars often use face masks when applying, there is no need with Jessica, as the products produce no risk to anyone’s health. Jessica does NOT contain anything like DBP or formaldehyde’s either, which again, a lot of non-standard nails bars tend to use, meaning the nail under the gel has a stunted growth rate and often feels weaker after having the gels removed, which is the opposite of how your nails should feel after a professional gel or polish application.
The Jessica GEL-eration range has been designed for optimal speed drying and anti-smudge and non-chip properties, meaning you can instantly do all the things you normally can without living in fear you’re going to ruin your new nails. Jessica GEL-eration lasts 3 weeks with the correct home care, and helps the nails to grow and strengthen underneath, meaning when you come back to see Carly for removal or infills, the nail underneath will be revealed to be longer, stronger and better than before.
If you’re not a fan of gels, we also have Jessica’s Phenom range on offer. This is a brand new way to enjoy longer lasting nails without the use of UV or LED lamps. Phenom is a long lasting, hard wearing polish which is similar to the affects you get with GEL-eration, just simply without it being actual gel. Phenom and GEL-eration come with a plethora of colours and shades to choose from, and we confidently can say we have any colour to match any personality/style. From natural nudes to beautiful bolds, even stars such as Scarlett Johanson and Kate Beckinsale are getting on board the Jessica Nail hype and often rock their shades on the red carpet. Carly is offering GEL-eration and Phenom in the salon, right now, and your first service with Carly is half price, as our way to welcome you and introduce you to this game changing nail range. This means Gel nails is only £14 pounds, and Phenom Polish is £9.
The perfect late week indulgence for half the price, who could say no to that?
Our Jessica Autumn Guide:
So, after consulting the runways and narrowing down the reoccurring trends, similar to the hair world, it’s all going to be about dark and sultry tones or light feminine shades, a perfect balance for any style. We’re majorly crushing on these gel shades for the colder months:
691- Street Swagger: This is DARK BURGUNDY PLUM PERFECTION! The shine on all the Gel’s is unreal, but arguably more noticeable in darker shades like this!
688 – Sensual: This casual coral shade is the perfect transition colour moving forwards into autumn, it’s still bright enough for the last remaining bit of sun as we make our journey into September/October but also the orange tone is just casual enough to make the perfect pretty Halloween colour.
487 – Windsor Castle: Street swagger, as seen above, is a beautiful dark purple, but more of a burgundy and red toned purple. If you’re into a cooler and more navy toned purple, Windsor Castle is for you. This blue toned Purple again gives off a really strong shine, but also ties in perfectly with the colder weather that we’ll soon be experiencing. We also spotted a lot of different shades of Purple on the runways for this season coming, so we have suggested two different types of purple purposely to suit your individual likes and preferences.
1195 – Gleaming Gold: A glittery nude, with a subtle warm pink hue. The colour that truly does shimmer and glisten, we got you ladies who like a subtle statement nail!
And in Phenom Varnish, we can’t get enough of:
044- Gold Veil: A glistening gold glitter, I can’t help but think of Christmas cheer and the party season when I look at this shade! This shade literally sums up Christmas for us, and we can’t wait to see this sparkle as we hold our mulled wine by the fire.
007 – Vintage Glam: A muted lilac purple, going back to the shades of purple we spotted on the run way, this casual and toned down lilac in the perfect purple tone for those who are fashion savvy but don’t tend to go for a bold look! Also perfect for someone who isn’t meant to have coloured nails for work, but doesn’t come across the rule enforcers often, not 110% visible at a quick glance! ( But of course, we’re not encouraging rebels, WINK WINK!)
040 – Electra pink: The perfect baby pink, and yes, I mean PERFECT. Big statement but so true, this shade embodies everything that baby pink should be, subtle and girly but also a statement in its own right! Girly girls, come get it! Similar to Vintage Glam, it’s a more toned down colour compared to some, and we’ve even seen some clients have a Electra pink accent nail and Vintage Glam on the others, for a still subtle but more stand out look.
We are so excited to be able to progress and offer these new services, so feel free to inquire at your next appointment, and your chosen stylist will bring you a shade guide if you seek further inspiration before booking. We look forward to seeing you soon, whether it be for hair or nails or perhaps both? Can someone say, PAMPER DAY!
– Team Halo
(Please note: Carly will only remove gels and acrylics that have been applied at Halo, so we know exactly what’s been used on the nail previously and we can assess the best course of action for nails that might not necessarily be as strong or well cared for as they could be. We thank you for your understanding and custom.)
